This Teacher Training Certification Program is for people who want to be able to teach with knowledge and confidence. It is also for people who may not desire to teach, but want a quality, in-depth education about all eight limbs of the yoga from ancient India.
How proficient in yoga do I have to be to be accepted?
You becoming a great yoga teacher is independent from your ability to do the strongest and hardest yoga poses. The only requisite for this training is that you have at least one year of a yoga practice that has averaged at least two hours of practice per week. your practice can have been in a studio or in your home.
How do I apply?
Simple. You need to fill out an application and pay the non-refundable application fee of $25. You can apply at our online store or at the studio.
If accepted, this $25 application fee will be applied to your balance.
Next, you will receive a call from our Teacher Training instructor, Marcee Ballantyne, and she will answer any further questions you might have and welcome you into the program. A $300 deposit will be due at that time to hold your spot at the early bird reduced price.
You will have the option of the monthly payment plan or to pay for the training in full and receive a $375 discount.
What is the Cost?
Before December 31st Early Bird discount price when PAID IN FULL: $2,375.
Before December 31st Early Bird discount price with payment plan: $2,600
After January 1st Regular cost $2,750.
What are the dates for the 10 weekends in 2019?
What times will the training take place?
Fridays - 5:30 - 9:30 pm
Saturdays - 10:30 am - 6:30 pm
Sundays - 10:45 am - 5:45 pm
There will be a 1-hour lunch break on Saturdays and Sundays
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
If you cancel 30 days before the start of the program you will forfeit $100 of your deposit and the remaining balance will be refunded. If you cancel 14-29 days before the start of the program, you will forfeit your entire deposit. These fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you cancel within 14 days before the start of the program or do not attend the program, the entire deposit and any paid program tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable. Once the program begins, the program tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable.
What are the 200-hour graduation requirements?
In order to graduate from this training you must be paid in full and fulfill the following requirements:
• Attendance at in-class and online teacher training sessions
• Successful completion of homework assignments, quizzes, in-class and take-home final exam.
• Participation in a final in-class practice teaching practicum
Do I get a discount on classes at the studio during this training?
Yes. When you enroll for this training, you will have a 50% discount on all regularly scheduled classes for 10 months, starting on the first day of your training. This discount does not include workshops or other events.
What is the make-up policy?
This Teacher Training is endorsed by Yoga Alliance and requires that you complete all 200 hours of the teacher training. However, we understand that sometimes conflicts come up, and we have developed the make-up policy listed below. Please note that you can miss up to 40 Teacher Training hours, but you will have 2 months from the last day of your program to complete your attendance requirements.
If you miss more than 40 hours and do not complete your make up hours within 2 months before the end of the training, you will receive a “not passing” status. Not Passing status means you will not receive your certification and won’t be eligible to be registered by Yoga Alliance.
You have the following option for making up your missed time:
* You can schedule a private session during the program. The cost of an hour and a half private session is $95. A 1.5 hour private equals 5-6 hours of missed class time.
Completion of the Fountain of Health Yoga Studio Teacher Training program assures that you will have received personal, quality and comprehensive attention and information. You will have had access to ageless wisdom and a library of teaching tips and information for opening your own yoga studio.
You will receive your Letter of Completion and your Diploma validating your training at the 200-Hour Level. You will be qualified to register with Yoga Alliance.(www.yogaalliance.org)
What does Yoga Alliance’s approval of this Teacher Training mean?
Yoga Alliance is a highly recognized organization that was started in 1999 as a way to create nationally recognized standards for yoga teachers and yoga teacher trainings in the US. Most yoga studios across the country require their teachers to be registered with Yoga Alliance. But know that Yoga Alliance registration, is not a legal requirement for teaching yoga. Currently, there are no legal certification requirements to be a yoga teacher.
